Check Duplicate Bookmarks

VertiTab provides an automated bookmark checking feature that scans for duplicate bookmarks and verifies bookmark accessibility.

How to Use

Access Method:

Navigate to the bookmark folder in the VertiTab sidebar
Right-click on any bookmark folder
Select "Check Bookmarks" from the context menu
The program will automatically scan for duplicates and verify bookmark accessibility

What Gets Checked

Duplicate Detection

Identifies bookmarks with identical URLs
Finds bookmarks with the same title but different URLs
Detects similar bookmarks that may be duplicates

Accessibility Verification

Tests if bookmarked URLs are still accessible
Checks for broken links or moved pages
Verifies that bookmarks load correctly

Important Considerations

Network Requirements

Stable Internet Connection Required: Ensure you have a reliable internet connection during the checking process
Internal/Corporate Networks: If checking bookmarks for internal websites, make sure you're connected to the appropriate work network environment
VPN Considerations: Some bookmarks may require VPN access to verify properly

Potential Results

Inaccessible Results: Some bookmarks may show as inaccessible if:
- You're not on the required network (internal company sites)
- VPN connection is needed
- The website requires specific authentication
- Temporary server issues
