Group by Site
Group by Site automatically organizes tabs by website domain, helping you organize similar tabs together quickly without manual grouping.
How to Access
- Click the three dots (⋯) icon in the bottom-right corner
- Select "Group by Site" from the menu
Grouping Options
Domain Format
Choose how groups are named:
- Complete Domain: Uses full website address (e.g., "docs.google.com")
- Main Domain: Uses primary domain only (e.g., "google.com")
- Domain Name: Uses domain without suffix (e.g., "google")
- Custom Pattern (Premium): Create custom naming rules
Custom Pattern (Premium)
Build custom group names using domain parts:
Domain Parts:
- All Subdomains: Include all subdomain parts
- First Subdomain: Use only the first subdomain
- Last Subdomain: Use only the last subdomain
- Main Domain: The primary domain name
- All TLDs: Include all top-level domains
- First TLD: Use only the first TLD
- Last TLD: Use only the last TLD
Example: For "mail.google.com"
- Main Domain: "google"
- First Subdomain: "mail"
- All TLDs: "com"
Settings
Ignore "www"
When enabled, treats "www.example.com" the same as "example.com" for grouping purposes.
Auto Activate Tab Grouping
When enabled, automatically applies your grouping preferences to new tabs as you browse.
