Accessing Settings
- Open VertiTab settings
- Go to Tab Settings > Tabs
- Configure the available display options
Show Full URL
Shows the complete website address below tab titles. Helps identify tabs with similar titles.
Hide Tab Icons
Removes website favicons from tab display. Creates a cleaner, text-only appearance.
Use Color Dots Instead of Icons
Replaces favicons with colored dots based on website URL. Provides visual distinction while maintaining minimal design.
Show Thumbnails in Preview
Displays tab screenshots when hovering over tabs. Requires additional permissions for tab capture.
Note: May be denied if permissions are not granted.
Show Tab Index
Displays numbers next to tab titles (1, 2, 3...). Enables quick navigation using Ctrl+Number (Windows) or Cmd+Number (Mac).
Example: "1. stackoverflow.com 2. youtube" allows Ctrl+2 to switch to YouTube.
Tab Title Maximum Lines
Sets how many lines tab titles can span. Longer titles get truncated beyond the limit. Helps maintain consistent tab heights.
Suspended Tab Opacity
Controls transparency level of hibernated/suspended tabs. Slider from 10% to 100% opacity. Visual indicator to distinguish active from suspended tabs.
Suspended Tab Prefix
Adds a custom prefix symbol to suspended tab titles. 1-5 character limit.
Examples: "💤", "⏸", "[S]". Helps quickly identify suspended tabs.
Use Cases
- Minimalist Design: Hide icons and use color dots for clean appearance
- Information Rich: Show URLs and indices for detailed tab information
- Performance Focus: Use suspended tab indicators to manage memory usage
- Quick Navigation: Enable tab indices for keyboard shortcuts
These customization options allow you to create a personalized tab management experience that suits your specific needs and preferences.
